AFL Season 2010. Show 18
NOTE TO JEFF GEISCHEN: -
There is not such thing as a ‘natural arc’ in the Laws of Australian Football. It is a wank!
Rule 16.2 states: –
“A Player who has been awarded a Mark or Free Kick shall dispose of the
football from directly behind the mark. If a Player disposes or attempts
to dispose of the football other than in a direct line over the mark, the
field Umpire shall call “Play On” and the football shall immediately be
in play. This Law does not apply if a Player is disposing of the football
from beyond the Goal Line, Behind Line or Boundary Line, in which
case Laws 16.4 or 16.5 shall apply”
Ergo, everytime Franklin has a ping for goal from a mark or free kick should be called play on the MOMENT he steps off his line – just like everyone else in the field of play.

Thanks for letting me know Wally. The bizarre thing is that I had just spent $80 on a new microphone after Lucy alerted me to the bad quality. THink it will take more than a new mic just quietly but will try and get it right for the next show.
Funnily enough, when I play the show back after it has been uploaded, there are no sound issues from my end, so I appreciate the feedback from you both. Not sure what is going on there though, but the new microphone could be the issue. I guess the cheap nasty ones from Tandy Electronics could be the way to go, but unfortunately, with Dick Smith taking over Tandy, I just can’t find them.
Cheers.
Explosion.
Technical problems again explosion. Get your microphones sorted out bigfella!
