Collingwood Players Unwell For King’s Birthday Game

Collingwood Players who are ill will not be able to play in King’s Birthday Game

According to reports, Josh Daicos (Collingwood), Braynard Maynard and Mason Cox will not be able to play Melbourne on King’s Birthday because of their respective illnesses.

Tom Browne of Channel Seven reported on Friday that Daicos, Maynard, and Cox are all battling different cases of flu. Cox is also suspected to have COVID.

To prove their fitness, the three Magpies who are sick will have to wait until Saturday when Collingwood holds its main training session before Monday’s blockbuster.

The star midfielder of Melbourne Clayton Oliver is already out due to an infection that he contracted after being hospitalised.

The final teams of Collingwood and The Melbourne Dees for the match are expected to be announced Sunday afternoon. The match is scheduled for Monday, June 12 at 3:20 PM (AEST).
